You do not require a doctor or healthcare provider to oversee your progress through the first module, however you should not engage in the activities within this module without first consulting with your doctor. This course is meant to provide general information and does not replace your healthcare provider.
Enrolment in this module does not constitute a doctor patient relationship between you and any of the instructors within this course. This module is meant for educational purposes only to provide an evidence-based approach and outline for a typical program of care. Certain patients have nuances to their individual situation that would not be possible for the clinicians to accurately assess in a virtual care platform.
Although screen sensitivity is a common symptom following concussion, there is no evidence to suggest that looking at screens is harmful to recovery or will cause any negative effect. We recommend reducing the brightness of your screen if need be or listening to the audio. The best option however is to gradually increase your screen viewing throughout the course as this is also a form of therapy!
You will have 7 days of free access to study the Module 1 materials and watch the recordings of 3 Weekly Live Group Calls.
